Product and Solutions Specialist

Location: 1231 Greenway Dr. Suite 1010, Irving, TX 75038.

Job Requirements & Skill Set

Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, CIS, MIS or related discipline, +5 years of progressive experience in planning, solutioning, testing and deployment of Desktop, Web & Mobile applications using latest technology. Web Tools (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery), SQL Server 2000/2005 databases, Design tools such as PowerPoint, MS Visio and Adobe suite, Content Management system experience, Automated testing tools - Selenium & QTP, Version Control tools - TFS, ADO .net, Project management tools - Jira & Azure DevOps, Performance and Memory Analysis tools like SQL Monitor, Core Azure infrastructure, VMWare, Cloud Infrastructure - Azure Services.

Job Duties

Business Analysis:

Serve a product consultant for the Scrum Team, defining and prioritizing user stories with acceptance criteria and participating in all Scrum ceremonies. As a passionate user advocate for the product, work with solution architects and developers to design target state architecture that exceed customer expectations. Work with subject matter experts (SME) to analyze technical details from external partners and create technical specifications for engineering teams. Translate the digital strategy of a product line or destination/brand into clearly prioritized requirements, and ensuring appropriate delivery of those requirements across the development lifecycle. Serve as a resource to recommend and implement solutions for small to complex business issues by translating requirements into wireframes and mockups using tools like MS Visio, Adobe creative Suite and technologies. Negotiate valuation and funding of features that impact product line/destination/brand, while pushing to ensure that teams are value engineering cost effective solutions.

Data Analysis:

Analyze large amounts of data to discover trends and patterns and provide recommendations to identify gaps or issues, presenting options for resolution and change. Create and execute recurring and adhoc queries/reports/dashboards from various systems using Excel, SQL Server. Utilize SQL skills including creation of user defined functions, complex stored procedures, query optimization and SQL scripts. Create SSRS report objects to be embedded into software solutions for customers. Serve as liaison between IT and business end-users, work with development team to ensure that the specifications are translated clearly. Understand and explain business and technical issues by mining unfamiliar data and provide or recommend viable solutions.

Planning & Execution:

Schedule and lead discovery meetings to understand current business practices and business needs supporting requirements analysis. Prioritize the feature requirements and user stories developed into an agile backlog and manage the requirements In JIRA and throughout the agile development lifecycle (SDLC). Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap that maximizes the ability to monetize, scale and grow. Plan the velocity of the sprint based on team capacity and estimate the stories as per team discussion. Co-ordinate with team on daily Scrum, Review and Retro meetings.

Development

Consult with development and project teams to provide solutions for complex issues. Contribute to high quality, reliable systems that meet or exceeds business needs. Work with Scrum or Agile development teams throughout the SDLC phase.

Deployment

Document the requirements for the smooth deployment procedure. Involve in Production deployment and assist the dev team to validate the post deployment checklist. Prepare Release notes and share with business and vendor teams.

Team Participation

Participate in team activities like Brown bag Sessions, Tek-talks and other mentoring activities.
